This Nokia security device solution provides robust performance, availability and expandability with a leading dollar-per-megabit throughput.

Nokia IP1220 is a robust, cost-effective security platform that supports the sophisticated traffic requirements present in large business and service provider networks. Its redundant hardware capabilities ensure reliability for top performance and network uptime. With its expansion capacity, it can service a multitude of network segments for a large and growing network infrastructure with up to twenty 10/100 Ethernet or four 10/100 Ethernet and eight 1000 GigE connections in a variety of customer selected configurations.

The Nokia IP1220, like most Nokia Firewall/VPN appliances, offers the option of either disk or flash-based storage configurations. Additionally, Nokia IP1220 can be configured with hybrid (flash and compact disk) local storage. Its hybrid configuration uses flash storage for Nokia IPSO and for the Check Point enforcement module, and local disk for management and logging. The Nokia IP1220 features Nokia IPSO™, a secure operating system with Web or Command Line Interface (CLI), as well as support from Nokia Horizon Manager, which provides secure robust system management, version control, backup and restore.
