Extreme Networks Summit 4 14001 has 16 fixed 10/100BASE-T ports (RJ-45) and six 1000BASE-SX ports (SC) Full Layer 3 Software License and power supply. The Extreme 14001 high-density stackable switch delivers non-blocking wire-speed IP/IPX routing and switching to server farms aggregated switches and network backbones.
The Extreme 14001 is the ideal switch for mid-tier aggregation in enterprise basement customer premise equipment (CPE) for metro area networks and for server load balancing/web cache redirection in server co-location and hosting environments. With a compact 2U factor the Summit4 switch integrates non-blocking Wire-Speed Routing and Layer 2 switching with advanced capabilities like Policy-Based Quality of Service server load balancing web cache redirection and access control lists-all at wire speed on every port.
