 Cisco Security Solutions and Design Specialist CertificationCisco Security Solutions and Design Specialist certification was designed for Channel Partners. The Cisco Security Solutions and Design Specialist can assess customer needs, sell, and design Cisco Self Defending Networks that protect vital assets, reduce costs, and improve productivity. Cisco Security Solutions and Design Specialists understand the key components of the Cisco Self-Defending Network strategy, including Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), Network Admission Control (NAC) and Cisco Security Monitoring Analysis and Response System (CS MARS). As a prerequisite for this certification, you must have a valid CCDA certification. You must also pass the required 642-564 SSSE exam. Cisco Security and Design Specialist certifications are valid for 2 years. Recertification requires passing the current version of the exam or pass a CCIE written exam.
