 Cisco IP Telephony Design Specialist CertificationThe Cisco IP Telephony Design Specialist certification was developed for those who design IP Telephony multi-service networking solutions. Cisco IP Telephony Design Specialists can develop a scalable, converged network using QOS, Cisco Call Manager clustering, H.323, MGCP, or SIP signaling protocols, and assess the scope of work required to integrate legacy TDM PBXs and voice mail systems into an existing data network. You must have a CCDA certification before you can become a Cisco IP Telephony Design Specialist and must pass the following exams: 642-414 IPTD and 642-642 QoS. The Cisco IP Telephony Design Specialist certifications are valid for 2 years. Recertification requires you to pass the 642-414 IPTD exam or pass a CCIE written exam.
