Cisco CCIE Certification

The Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert CCIE certification involves 2 exams in order to become certified. There are many different areas one can test, but all CCIE exams are broken down into a written exam and a hands-on lab. There are 5 tracks one can choose to become CCIE certified. Those tracks include the following: Routing and Switching, Security, Service Provider, Storage Networking, and Voice Tracks. A CCIE certification is valid for 2 years. To recertify, one must pass a written CCIE exam before your recertification deadline or your certification status may appear to be suspended in the CCIE database.
