Cisco CCDP CertificationThe Cisco Certified Design Professional CCDP certification indicates advanced or journeyman knowledge of network design. With a CCDP, a network professional can design routed and switched networks involving LAN, WAN, and dial access services, applying modular design practices and making sure the whole solution responds optimally to the business and technical needs and is designed to be highly available.
There are two routes one can go to obtain CCDP certification. First, one must take and pass the following exams: 642-801 BSCI, 642-811 BCMSN, and 642-871 ARCH. The second route one can take includes the following exams: 642-891 Composite and 642-871 ARCH. CCDP certifications are vaild for 3 years. In order to recertify, one must pass the 642-891 Composite exam or pass both the 642-801 BSCI and 642-811 BCMSN exams. One may also just pass a CCIE written exam.
