As executive vice president of business development for Network Liquidators, Tom Calcaterra’s responsibilities include mergers and acquisitions, capital transactions and geographic expansion beyond North America . He brings more than 15 years of international executive-management experience to the position, having served in such previous leadership capacities as corporate officer and a director.
Before joining the company in February 2006, Tom was chief financial officer for PODS Inc. Among his many accomplishments there, Tom raised more than $100 million in capital for the organization and oversaw the successful completion of its initial public offering. He was also the chief architect behind the company’s strategic business plan, which included an “inter-state move” initiative.
Prior to PODS, Tom was chief financial officer for Romac International Inc., where he completed two public offerings of common stock, reengineered back-office work flows, which included the implementation of PeopleSoft software, and completed a number of acquisitions.
Tom’s primary international experience came with Norsk Hydro ASA as vice president, administration for the company’s North American operations. While with Norsk Hydro, he completed numerous acquisitions throughout North America and initiated new operations with local partners outside the United States . Additionally, he completely restructured the company’s U.S. operating entities, rewriting all business processes, which included the implementation SAP R3.
A certified public accountant, Tom’s early career experiences included overseas assignments at Touch Ross and Co, and later at Arthur Andersen & Co.
Tom graduated from Wayne State University in 1978 with a bachelor’s degree and attended the Stanford University Graduate School of Business completing their management program in 1996.
