The Avaya Definity 6408D + phone (display) provides 8 programmable buttons: Call Appearance/Feature buttons, plus four Navigator keys for Menu, Next, Previous, and Exit. It is designed to take full advantage of Definity G3 Release 6.1 or higher software used in the Definity Enterprise Communications Server.

- Provides fixed Feature buttons for Conference, Transfer, Hold, Mute, and Last Number Dialed
- Also provides a built-in 2-way speakerphone, and eight personal ring options
- Lucent Definity 6408D+ also provides Whisper Paging Feature, letting a second call get through while you are on a call. Provides four Soft Keys for menu functions, plus 12 Soft Key default features, with access to 18 alternative Soft Key features (to a maximum of 12 per telephone set)
